It was the 28th December 1996, I was having a sleepless night worrying that our first child was now overdue and that I a job interview the next morning
At 1:30 a.m. my partner said "get me to the hospital, now!", it was time. Six hours later, after some complications, our first son was born
I found it hard to leave my partner and new born baby at the hospital but at 9:30 a.m. I arrived to apply for an internship at an Internet Service Provider to learn how to build web sites. I was accepted for the role and I was given a pile of books, a brief, an FTP login and sent off home to start work on a live site!
